1 Tablespoon olive Oil
1 cup finely diced Onions
1 cup finely diced Celery
1 1/2 cups boiling Water
1 (16 ounce) can Tomato Sauce
2 Tablespoons mild Chili Powder (optional)
1 teaspoon dried Mustard
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 1/2 cups dry textured Vegetable Protein (TVP)
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon Molasses
2 Tablespoons Cider Binegar
Hamburger Buns or French Rolls
Method of cooking "All American Sloppy Joes"
Heat the oil in a medium saucepan, and saute the onions and celery until very tender. Add all remaining ingredients except the buns and simmer, covered, for 15-20 minutes. Serve mixture on buns or rolls.
