Sweet Potato Kheer

Ingredients for Sweet Potato Kheer   (Click here for measurement conversion)

Milk - 1 litre

Sweet Potato - 100 gm

Sugar - 250 gm

Rose essence - few drops

Cashew Nut - 50 gm

Almond - 50 gm

Butter or Ghee - 25 gm

Cardamom - 4

Method for making Sweet Potato Kheer

Heat oil and fry cashew nuts and almond. Boil the sweet potatoes and peel off the skin. Mash the boiled potatoes. Boil the milk and add sugar and potatoes. Add the fried nuts and boil for some more time until the kheer thickens. Mix rose essence in little water and sprinkle on the kheer along with cardamom powder. Serve hot or cold as desired.
