Atta Ka Seera

Ingredients for Atta Ka Seera   (Click here for measurement conversion)

Plain flour - 2 Tablespoons

Ghee or Butter - 2.5 Tablespoons

Sugar or Jaggery - 0.75 to 1 cup

Cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon

Pistachio and Almond nuts - few, chopped, for decoration

Method for making Atta Ka Seera

Heat ghee or butter in a saucepan. Add flour and roast on low flame, stirring continuously. Parallely boil water and sugar mixture and bring to 1:2 consistency. When the atta turns golden brown, add the syrup. Stir gently and continuously till excess water evaporates and the fat separates. Decorate with chopped nuts. Serve hot.
