Swiss Steak For The Crockpot


Features of Swiss Steak For The Crockpot

Served as main course. Non-vegetarian dish.

Ingredients for Swiss Steak For The Crockpot   (Click here for measurement conversion)

1 1/2 lbs. Round Steak (1 1/2 to 2)

2 Tablespoons Flour

1 teaspoon Salt

1/8 teaspoon Pepper

2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

16 ounces canned Tomatoes, cutup

1 large Onion, sliced

1 Stalk Celery, thinly sliced

1 Tablespoon Bottled Steak Sauce

Method for making Swiss Steak For The Crockpot

Cut steak into serving-size pieces. Coat with flour and seasonings. In large skillet, brown meat in oil. Pour off the excess fat. In the Crockpot, combine meat with tomatoes, onion, celery, and steak sauce. Cover pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Thicken juices to make a gravy.
