Spaghetti Alla Carbonara


Features of Spaghetti Alla Carbonara

Served as main course. Non-vegetarian dish.

Ingredients for Spaghetti Alla Carbonara   (Click here for measurement conversion)

1 pound Spaghetti

8 slices Bacon, cut crosswise

3/4 teaspoon Red Pepper

1/4 cup Half and Half

4 Egg, beaten

1 cup Parmesan Cheese

2 Tablespoons Butter, softened

2 Tablespoons Parsley, fresh, chopped

Cracked Black Pepper

Parmesan Cheese

Method for making Spaghetti Alla Carbonara

Cook spaghetti as directed Meanwhile, fry bacon over moderate heat until crisp. Drain all but 1 tbs of fat. Add the red pepper and the half-and-half. Keep warm in skillet. Beat eggs w/the cheese in a separate bowl. When pasta is tender but firm, drain well. Transfer to a warm serving bowl and mix with the butter. Toss the bacon mixture, followed by the egg mixture. Sprinkle with parsley, black pepper to taste and Parmesan cheese.
