2 can Campbells Pork and Beans
2 small can Campbells Pork and Beans
1 pound Bacon
1 bell Pepper, diced
1 Onion, diced
1/2 pound brown Sugar
4 full squirts Mustard
5 shakes Worcestershire Sauce
5 shakes liquid smoke flavoring
3 shakes dry minced Garlic
Method of cooking "Stove Top Baked Beans"
Fry bacon until crisp. Remove and save bacon. Brown onion and bell pepper in bacon grease. Pour in beans, brown sugar, mustard, garlic. Mix well. Add Worcestershire and liquid smoke until color darkens. Crumble bacon and mix. Taste. Beans should be very sweet. Adjust brown sugar, Worcestershire and liquid smoke to taste. Simmer slowly, covered, stirring often for 30 minutes on low heat. May be made ahead. Beans will thicken and sweeten with age.
