Apricot Rum BBQ Sauce


Features of Apricot Rum BBQ Sauce

Served as accompaniment. Vegetarian dish. Speciality: Low Fat, Low Cholesterol, Low Sat. Fat, Low Protein diet.

Ingredients for Apricot Rum BBQ Sauce   (Click here for measurement conversion)

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

1/2 cup minced Onions

1 Tablespoon minced fresh Ginger

1 cup Apricot preserves

1/2 cup Dark Rum

1/2 cup prepared Barbecue Sauce

1/4 cup fresh Lime Juice

1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes

Method for making Apricot Rum BBQ Sauce

Over medium-high heat, saute minced onion and ginger in 1 tablespoon olive oil in a saucepan until soft, about 5 minutes. Add rest of ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until thickened.

Cooking time: 45 minutes

Yields: 1 1/2 Cups
