Served as accompaniment. Non-vegetarian dish. Speciality: Low Protein diet.

1 Onion, finaly chopped

2 Tablespoons minced fresh Garlic (optional or to taste)

1/4 cup Butter or Margarine

1 cup Ketchup

1/2 cup Beef stock

2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice

3 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar (can use Cider Vinegar)

1/4 cup Brown Sugar (can use more)

1 1/2 teaspoons Mustard Powder

Salt and Pepper

In a saucepan cook onion and garlic (if using) until softened. Add in all remaining ingredients; stir to combine and simmer on low heat for abot 45 minutes to 1 hour. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cool to room temperature then refrigerate overnight before using.
