All Purpose Sundried Tomato Sauce


Features of All Purpose Sundried Tomato Sauce

Served as accompaniment. Vegetarian dish. Speciality: Low Cholesterol, Low Sat. Fat, Low Calorie, Reduced Carbs, Low Protein diet.

Ingredients for All Purpose Sundried Tomato Sauce   (Click here for measurement conversion)

100 gm Onions, chopped

1 Garlic Clove, sliced

1/2 Red Chili, cut in rings

40 gm sun-dried Tomatoes, finely chopped

300 gm Tomatoes, diced

2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

1 teaspoon Sugar

1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste

1/8 liter Vegetable Broth

Salt, to taste

Pepper

Method for making All Purpose Sundried Tomato Sauce

Sautee onions, garlic, chili and sundried tomatoes. Add tomato paste and sugar and let sautee about 2 minute. Add tomatoes and broth, salt and cook for 45 minute in open saucepan, stirring occasionally. Blend and strain.

Cooking time: 1 hour

Yields: 250 ml
