1 Egg, beaten
1 cup Ripe Breadfruit, uncooked
2 Tablespoon Shortening
1 cup Flour, unsifted
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3 teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 cup Sugar

Method for making Breadfruit Donuts
|
|
Combine the beaten egg, breadfruit pulp, and shortening. Mix well. Add sifted dry ingredients. Stir in egg mixture. Drop by spoonfuls into preheated deep fat (370 degree F) and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels or a brown bag. Shake in a bag with sugar to coat outside.
