Features of Cheesy Muffin Melt (1)

Served as snacks. Vegetarian dish.

Ingredients for Cheesy Muffin Melt (1)   (Click here for measurement conversion)

1 1/2 cup Cottage Cheese, creamed

1/4 teaspoon Salt

1/2 cup Wheat Germ, regular

3 Whole Wheat English Muffins

2 Tablespoon Green Chiles, chopped

6 Tomato, slices

1/4 teaspoon Oregano Leaves, crushed

Cheddar, sharp, slices

1/4 teaspoon Basil Leaves, crushed

Method for making Cheesy Muffin Melt (1)

Combine the cottage cheese, wheat germ, chilies, and seasonings, blending well. Mound onto toasted muffins. Top with tomato slices and criss-cross with cheddar strips. Broil 3 to 4 inches from the heat until the cheddar melts, about 5 minutes.
