1 cup dried split Green Peas
3 pounds Lamb Shanks
1 large Onion, chopped
2 Carrots, peeled and sliced
2 stalks Celery, sliced
2 1/2 cups Beef Broth
Salt and Pepper

Method for making Slow Cooker Lamb Shanks With Split Peas
|
|
Completely soften peas by your favorite method. Brown lamb shanks under broiler to remove fat; drain well. Mix all ingredients except shanks in Crock-Pot; stir well. Add shanks, pushing down into liquid. Cover and cook on Low for 10 to 12 hours.
