Baked Breakfast Apples


Features of Baked Breakfast Apples

Served as breakfast. Vegetarian dish. Speciality: 229 calories, 1 gm total fat, saturated fat free, cholesterol free, 28 mg sodium, 57gm Carbohydrate, 3 gm fiber, 2 gm protein.

Ingredients for Baked Breakfast Apples   (Click here for measurement conversion)

2 Apples; cut in bite-size chu

2 Tablespoon Snipped Dates

1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

1/2 cup Apple Juice

2 Tablespoon Raspberry all-fruit Spread

1/4 cup Reduced-fat Granola

Method for making Baked Breakfast Apples

In two individual casseroles combine the apples and dates. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Pour apple juice over apple mixture. Bake, covered, in a 350 oven for 20 to 25 minutes or till apples are slightly tender. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat all-fruit spread till melted. Drizzle fruit spread over apple mixture and sprinkle with granola. Serve warm.
