Fried Catfish


Features of Fried Catfish

Can be served as accompaniment of main course. Non-vegetarian.

Ingredients for Fried Catfish   (Click here for measurement conversion)

1/3 cup Cornmeal

1 Tablespoon Seasoning

1 teaspoon Parsley Flakes

0.25 teaspoon Garlic Salt

4 (each 4 oz) fillets Catfish fillets

1 Egg, beaten

3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

Method for making Fried Catfish

Place cornmeal on large piece of wax paper. Add the seasoning, parsley and garlic salt. Stir with fork until well combined. Dip fish fillets, one at a time, in beaten egg. Allow excess egg to drip off. Coat with cornmeal mixture. Heat oil in a large skillet. Panfry the fillets for 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or until fish flakes easily with fork.
