Method for making Apple Cobbler Topped With Cheddar Bisquick
|
|
Pre-Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix in a saucepan the cornstarch, sugar, cinnamon, orange juice and 1/2 cup water. Add apples to the mixture, stir, and cook over low heat (stirring occasionally) for approximately 6 minutes (until liquid thickens and apples just begin to soften). Stir in walnuts and raisins (if desired) and pour into a 1 quart casserole. Mix Bisquick and shredded cheese together. Add 4 tablespoons water and mix well. Drop spoonfuls of the Bisquick mixture on top of apple mixture- then spread it to mostly cover the apple mixture. Bake until top is lightly browned- about 28 minutes. Serve as is (or top with ice cream or cream).
