Apricot Chutney


Features of Apricot Chutney

Served as accompaniment. Vegetarian dish. Speciality: Low Fat, Low Sodium, Low Cholesterol, Low Sat. Fat, Low Protein diet.

Ingredients for Apricot Chutney   (Click here for measurement conversion)

1 Apple, peeled and chopped

1 cup Sugar

1 cup Water

3/4 cup dried Apricot halves, chopped

1/2 cup Onions

1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar

1/4 cup Raisins

1/4 cup fresh Lemon Juice

1 Tablespoon fresh Ginger, chopped

1 teaspoon Lemon Rind, grated

1/2 teaspoon dry Mustard

1/4 teaspoon ground Cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground Cloves

Method for making Apricot Chutney

In a large saucepan, combine all the ingredients; bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat, and simmer uncovered, 30 minutes or to desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Cover and chill. Serve with ham or cheese and crackers.
