Apple Chutney (I)


Features of Apple Chutney (I)

Served as accompaniment. Vegetarian dish. Speciality: Gluten-free, Low Fat, Low Sodium, Low Cholesterol, Low Sat. Fat, Low Calorie, Low Protein diet.

Ingredients for Apple Chutney (I)   (Click here for measurement conversion)

2 Apples (tart green varieties work best)

3 Onions, peeled and minced

3/4 cup Vinegar White

3/4 cup Brown Sugar, light

1/3 cup Raisins

1 Tablespoon Ginger, fresh,peeled and minced

1/8 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes

2 Green Chilies

Method for making Apple Chutney (I)

Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Slowly bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring frequently. Cool, cover, and store refrigerated until needed.

Yields: 2 Cups
